This snapshot of the SCF Extenstions List shows the 678 entries that were in the list on June 7, 2009. I get an 'unsigned' message in the extension manager and the plug in wont run. It uses the term 'Xref' because most users with a CAD background understand the concept of having several files combined into a single 'project'.This table is a companion to the forthcoming SketchUp Power Tools article “Too Many Rubies” - An overview of existing plugin-management plugins plus detailed usage guides. 2,378,679 Views Free 1001bit Tools (Freeware) Collection of useful tools for architectural works. Install the latest version of Sketchucation Store extension, v4.3.0 or above. You can do this manually with SKP components in your model. AustralianBuilder December 2, 2018, 1:45am 1. in my company the workflow is the following: a component > xref into a building > xref in a group of building > xref into the master plan. I was looking around for a way to reference each file among to a main one sort of like it is possible to do with autocad and 3ds. In order to make it easier I divided the main file into small files with different objects. If the external SKP is changed it is newer so the option is to 'Reload'. I’m working in a huge model in sketchup and I’m constantly updating different parts of it. A full version of the Xref-SKP is inserted as a component. ![]() Manijeh You can't have Xref's like AutoCAD's. varying from 16 to 20 storeys high. am I correct in assuming this? also will an inserted xref update within the host file when I revise the original? isnt there a better way than ghost comp because im working on a housing projects and it has lot of housing units. With sketchup making file sizes so huge this would be an awesome option, but your Xref manager does not seem to work this way. There is a warning comment in this code snippet. Generally you should register your ruby scripts as an extension to give SketchUp users the ability to. Extensions are Ruby scripts that can be loaded and unloaded using the Extension manager (Extensions panel of the Preferences dialog box). One of the benefits of xref's in autocad is that you can insert an xref and not add to the size of the host file. Then, as said, some other extension is setting the top level::Set identifier to point at Sketchup::Set, which is not desirable because (as we see here) it affects everthing The documentation for Sketchup::Set explicitly shows doing this so called Compatibility Shim within a custom module. The SketchupExtension class contains methods allowing you to create and manipulate SketchUp extensions. I just downloaded your xref manager tool. ![]()
